Dear Students, Faculty and Staff:

After assessing current weather conditions and reviewing tomorrow’s forecast, the University is moving all classes online for Monday, Jan. 26.

Please note: Non-essential employees are expected to work remotely; they should not report to campus. Essential personnel in campus safety, dining, facilities and transit services should follow their previously scheduled shifts. If you are unsure of your status as essential or non-essential, please check with your supervisor. Any staff member concerned about traveling to campus should contact their supervisor.

The following schedule changes are also in effect for Monday, Jan. 26:

• Libraries will remain closed.
• Campus transportation (trolleys, Centro buses and safety escort shuttle) will operate on its standard schedule; however, please be prepared for delays due to road conditions.
• The Schine Student Center will be open as planned. Please check the OrangeNow app to review hours of operations for the individual dining options.
• The Barnes Center at The Arch will open at 8:30 a.m.
• Goldstein Student Center on South Campus will be open as planned.
• Residential dining halls will remain open; cafes located within academic buildings will be closed. Please check the OrangeNow app if you have any questions about schedules.
• The ITS Help Desk will be staffed remotely; ITS employees will not be available for in-person support and consultations.
• The MakerSpace will remain closed.
• Hendricks Chapel will remain closed.
• Both the Early Education and Child Care Center and the Bernice M. Wright School will be closed tomorrow.
• The Fisher Center and the ������ Washington, D.C., Center will not be open tomorrow for standard activities; staff will be working remote. Fisher Center classes will be moved online. Maxwell School Executive Education activities in Washington, D.C., will continue as planned.

Should there be any additional changes to the University’s operating status, they will be announced via the University’s emergency broadcast notification system and will carry the notice SU WEATHER ALERT via the following communication channels:

• Orange Safe and OrangeNow apps;
• campus @syr.edu email;
• text message to registered cell phone numbers in MySlice;
• a “crawl” on campus TV monitors and University websites;
